Menage a Trois Wine Review

Menage a Trois WineFor this review, I tasted the 2010 vintage of this wine.

The pour of this wine was leggy like the markings on a ruler and just a little thinner than other blends I’ve tried with similar composition.

The aroma was that of light berries and spices.  A slight tingle was noticed from the alcohol.

The taste was quite smooth with fresh fruit and jammy notes.  A good compliment to the nose and somewhat full body in flavor.

The wine finished smooth and round with light tannins and a soft mouthfeel.

Overall the Menage a Trois wine was a nice smooth blend which tasted and behaved well with typical California characteristics.

I would expect this wine to pair well with a steak or heavy cheese.

Menage a Trois wine is popular and easy to find on store shelves.

You really can’t go wrong with this and the blend will please many.  Enjoy!

  1. Be curious if you tried the 2011. Used to drink this all the time. Last few bottles of 2011 did not taste nearly as good to me unless my taste has changed, which could be possible.

    1. Thanks for the comment, Tim. I haven’t tried the 2011 yet. Along with you, others have also pointed out that they noticed some differences between years. Something to watch for.

      1. This is the second bottle of this wine that I’ve had problems getting the cork out
        Great wine horrible cork

    1. I haven’t had the 2009 or 2011, so I can’t say for sure. But, unless they significantly changed the blend, I would suspect the taste to be pretty similar for this wine from year to year.
